The word "doula " comes from ancient greek meaning, "woman who serves". It refers to a woman who acts as a birth companion, birth support person, or post birth caregiver- providing continuous aid before, during, and after birth.
At Mora Wellness, we offer birth doula support as well as postpartum doula caregiving. Our focus as caregivers is to "mothering the mother" and we devote our skills and resources to enveloping the expectant or new mom and ensuring her transition through pregnancy and postpartum is one filled with support, specialized care, and guidance.
